Frequently asked questions
How does Postal’s First Class plan work?
Postal streamlines all your gifting and direct mail efforts into a single, easy-to-use platform. With our global marketplace, you can access top-tier products designed to drive engagement across the world. Seamlessly integrate with your CRM or manually upload contacts to send personalized gifts one-on-one via custom email or one-to-many using a digital link. You can even automate gift sends as part of a campaign. Postal takes care of everything—from collecting addresses to managing recipient preferences like sizes. We’re transparent; only pay for gifts that are accepted, and receive notifications at every stage of gifting, from acceptance to delivery. Plus, with CRM integrations, you can track ROI and measure the impact of your gifting campaigns with ease.
How does Postal’s Economy plan work?
We eliminate the stress of manual gifting. As a sender, you’ll start by shopping our global marketplace of vetted vendors where you can filter by price, category, and ship to location. After selecting the gift you want to send, enter your recipient’s email, and they’ll be notified of the gift and asked to enter their preferred shipping information. You both receive notifications when the gift is accepted, shipped, and delivered. Postal saves you time and money - we handle all of the logistics for you, and you only pay for gifts that are accepted.
What is the difference between the plans?
Whether you’re a first-time or frequent flyer, Postal has a seating plan for individual users, single teams, or larger company deployments. Economy is perfect for single senders, Economy + fits small businesses and single teams, while First Class is best for multiple teams or enterprises with integration needs.
Do I need addresses to send gifts?
No, Postal is a digital first gifting platform and your recipient gets to enter their preferred shipping address. Depending on your plan, you can send by 1:1 email and/or utilize a 1:many link to send to multiple recipients. This notifies the recipient that you’ve sent them a gift, and would like them to enter their information to accept.
Will recipients see the price of gifts?
No, we always remove the price tag before giving a gift! The landing page to accept an item presents a photo, name, and description of the gift - no price! The only time a price will be displayed is for a gift card.
How does billing work?
Economy users are able to pay with one credit card, or a master payment card for your team to use on Economy +. You only pay for the gifts accepted. First Class teams can upload funds and manage user and team budgets and spend. Postal sends you an expense report every month.
Can I create and send custom swag with Postal?
Yes, we’re swag experts. Depending on the quantities you are looking to order, we have on-demand swag for branded items on an as-needed basis, or Paper Plane, our in-house creative agency can create custom branded items and kits in bulk.
I'm just a single user, do I need to pay a monthly fee?
No, our Economy plan is free forever for one individual user. Never pay a platform fee!
Can I use Postal internationally?
For First Class users, Postal has hundreds of vendors that can ship to over 200 countries and orders are placed in a 48 turnaround.
Does Postal store swag and help me with a brand store?
Yes to both! Whether you’re looking to order large quantities of branded items and store in our domestic and international warehouses for one-off sends, have event swag you’d like to store and ship directly to your event, or spin up a shoppable, public brand store.
Can I send direct mail through Postal?
Absolutely! Whether you already have your design or need our in-house creative agency, Paper Plane, to create a custom mailer, we solve all of your direct mail needs. Users will need to be part of a First Class plan to use our direct mail offerings.
