Whether you work in sales, marketing, customer success, or people ops, you probably perform hundreds of small tasks every day. Things like scheduling meetings, sharing status updates, and updating your CRM can add up, taking time away from other valuable projects.
Many people turn to web-based automation tools like Zapier to automate these tasks. When an event happens in one app, Zapier tells another app to perform a particular action, which is known as a “Zap.”
With the Postal and Zapier integration, it’s now possible to automate and trigger Postal items to be sent from more than 5,000 apps within the Zapier ecosystem and push notifications from Postal to Slack or your email.
Let’s walk through four ways you can use Postal + Zapier to keep deals moving, engage your customers and employees, and get some time back in your day.
Encourage your prospects to attend an upcoming meeting by using a Zap to send a coffee gift card from Postal, triggered by your Google Calendar before the meeting is set to begin.
Inviting them to grab a coffee on you makes a great first impression and your prospect will be more likely to show up and stay engaged in the conversation.
Chances are, you already spend your day in Slack communicating with your team, so keeping tabs on your Postal sends where you work could save you some time.
Use a Zap to send Postal status notifications to a particular Slack channel or as a DM and get immediate updates when gifts are redeemed or if there are order issues that require your attention. You’ll have the peace of mind knowing you can keep tabs on your recent activity, without having to check the Postal Platform multiple times a day.
For hiring managers, it’s not easy to carve out the time to create a seamless onboarding experience for new employees, especially when they’re remote.
Give new team members a warm welcome by using a Zap to send a branded swag box through Postal as soon as a new employee is added to your HR system. There’s no better way to make someone feel welcome and appreciated than by receiving an onboarding gift.
After you’ve hustled to get a deal over the finish line, you’re probably ready to celebrate—and so is your customer. While you’re completing the necessary tasks to finalize the sale, use a Zap to send champagne from Postal to toast to your partnership with a new or renewing customer as soon as the DocuSign envelope is completed.
These are just a few examples of how you can automate workflows with Postal + Zapier. Explore all the apps that you can now connect with Postal on Zapier’s explore page.
To use the Zapier + Postal integration, you need a Postal account and a Zapier account. Before you can start setting up Zaps, a Postal Admin will need to enable the Zapier integration for every Postal user who will be using it.
Next, you’ll need to set up a Trigger in Postal from the Automation Tab. Once your trigger is set up, you can create your first Zap or choose from Postal’s Zap templates. Learn more about the Postal + Zapier integration in our Help Center.
