As of February 2023, a mere 20% of employees said they’re extremely satisfied with their company as a place to work. With the rise of remote and distributed workforces within the B2B industry, it’s clear that employee engagement has never been a higher priority.
That’s why we’re thrilled to release Postal’s first human resources information system integration with Workday.
With the Postal + Workday integration, you can automatically send items from our marketplace based off of employee milestones in Workday, such as:
Celebrating work anniversaries is an important way to acknowledge an employee's dedication to their company, and can foster long-term loyalty. By using the Postal + Workday integration, companies can easily send thoughtful gifts to commemorate this occasion, improving overall employee satisfaction and retention.

Recognizing and congratulating employees on their promotions can demonstrate appreciation and encouragement towards career growth. Now you can effortlessly send congratulatory gifts to celebrate this milestone, boosting morale and motivation.
Celebrating employee birthdays is an easy way to increase morale and make folks feel valued. It's a chance to show that your company cares about them as an individual, and not just as an employee. Automating the send of birthday wishes and small tokens of appreciation helps to foster positive relationships while saving time.
Welcoming new hires is another milestone that can be easily automated to ensure they feel supported by management in their new role. Trigger the sending of gifts before their start date, or within their first few days on the job. This can include welcome packets, company swag, or even gift cards to local restaurants or coffee shops. Such a gesture will help new employees feel excited about their new gig.
Aside from automated sends based on milestones, HR and people teams have countless opportunities throughout the year to send items one-off for special occasions to boost employee morale. These are four additional ways to show the people of your company how much you care for them.
Recognizing employee achievements is a key factor in creating a positive work culture. Companies can easily acknowledge and celebrate employee accomplishments, such as hitting sales targets or completing a big project. This can include personalized notes, company-wide announcements, or small gifts to show appreciation for their hard work. Another great achievement is retirement. When it comes to appreciating your employees, don't forget to consider welcome back gifts.
Celebrating holidays builds team spirit and fosters a sense of community within the workplace. Through Postal Engage, companies can easily send gifts or cards to employees for various holidays or seasonal events. This will spread cheer and create a positive workplace environment.
Promoting wellness shows your company cares about the mental health and wellbeing of employees. Send wellness-related gifts or resources, such as yoga mats or mindfulness apps, to employees as a way to promote self-care and stress relief.
Hosting company events and get-togethers is arguably the best ways to build camaraderie and foster positive relationships among employees. Easily send invitations to virtual events as well as reminders, and even small gifts or party favors through Postal to attendees. This creates an engaging atmosphere, strengthening bonds and boosting employee satisfaction.
Admin access is required for both platforms to integrate Postal with Workday (Workday recommends using an Integration System User (ISU) for third-party integrations). Once the ISU is set up with the necessary permissions, integrating is as simple as navigating to the integrations tab in Postal, selecting the “Connect to Workday” tile, providing the required information, and authorizing access. Once completed, automating the sending of items to employees based on milestones becomes a breeze.
To start sending items based on employee milestones in Workday, begin by creating a trigger in Postal Engage. Head to the Triggers tab and select "Create a Trigger" from the top right. Title your trigger and select the Workday integration. Include which event you’d like to trigger your send off and the action that will occur, with "Send Item" being the most common choice.
Once completed, select "Create Trigger" and the trigger will fire once an employee meets the specified criteria.
